Who we are

SKIORA Tours is operated by SKIORA (PVT) LTD (SKIORA Travels division). We help travellers enquire about private drivers, airport and city transfers, and multi-day tours in Sri Lanka. Our office is at 195/1, Pore, Athurugiriya, Sri Lanka.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to give us when you submit an enquiry, continue a conversation on WhatsApp, or otherwise contact us.

• Contact details such as name, email address, and phone number
• Trip details such as pickup and drop-off places, dates, travellers, vehicle preference, and passport number when you provide it for booking coordination
• Messages and notes you send with your enquiry
• Technical data such as browser type, device, approximate location derived from IP, and pages visited — including privacy-friendly hosting metrics (Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights) and, only if you accept, optional tools such as Google Analytics, PostHog, or Microsoft Clarity

How we use your information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, coordinate bookings with drivers and suppliers, improve our website, and meet legal obligations.

• Respond to transfer and tour enquiries and follow up on WhatsApp or email
• Share trip details with trusted drivers, suppliers, or partners only as needed to deliver the service you requested
• Measure site performance and understand how visitors use our pages
• Protect against abuse, spam, and fraud

Sharing and processors

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (hosting, database, analytics, messaging) and with drivers or suppliers involved in your trip — under appropriate confidentiality expectations.

Our infrastructure may include Supabase (data storage), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and WhatsApp for conversation when you choose that channel.

Retention

We keep enquiry and booking-related records for as long as needed to complete your request, handle follow-ups, meet accounting or legal requirements, and resolve disputes. Analytics data is retained according to each provider’s settings.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a consent preference centre so you can choose which optional technologies run. Essential items (security, consent storage, and privacy-friendly hosting metrics such as Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights) stay on so the site works. Optional categories — analytics, functional, and marketing — load only after you opt in.

You can Reject all, Accept all, or Manage preferences on first visit, and change your choice anytime via Cookie settings in the footer. We store a local consent record (categories, time, and preference method) in your browser so we can honour your choice. Bumping our consent policy version will ask you again.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR / UK GDPR or similar frameworks — for example to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information, to object to certain processing, or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

This website is a travel enquiry service. We are not a healthcare provider and do not use analytics tools to process protected health information. Do not submit medical records or similar sensitive health data through forms or chat.

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to stop marketing-style follow-ups, by contacting us through the same channel you used to enquire (email or WhatsApp). We may need to keep limited records where the law requires it.

Children

Our services are aimed at adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as our product or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
